Project: the ASC Shipyard Development.
Role: ARKPM has been working on the ASC Project through the Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) role as Owners Engineer supporting ASC in development of their shipyard for the $6 Billion AWD program and other future shipbuilding activities.
Andy has been providing on-going project management support, co-ordination of design verification, and on-site verification support through SKM, and has been involved with the project throughout the design and construction phases of the Shipyard.
In June 2007 ASC engaged Hansen Yuncken as main contractor for the design and construction of the ASC shipyard facility.
Construction commenced in February 2008 and is due to be completed in September 2009.

Project: SABRENet - the South Australian Broadband Research & Education Network, a fibre-optic broadband network linking major Research & Education sites in metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia.
Role: Andy has been operating as Owners Engineer and Project Superintendent on behalf of Sinclair Knight Merz (SKM) since March 2006, and also operates in a supporting role ensuring on-site verification of quality and safety.
Construction of the original network commenced in January 2006 and was completed on time and under budget in December 2006. Since then the network has expanded with new connections to Gilles Plains and Tea Tree Gully.
The South Australian government has recently appointed SABRENet Ltd to extend its ultra-fast optical broadband network to Australia’s premier naval industry precinct, Techport Australia. To be completed in mid 2009, the new extension will connect to the Maritime Skills Centre in the first instance, the first building completed within the Techport Australia precinct.
